Boulder City Art Guild Presents

The Boulder City Art Guild will present its annual Winter Art Festival on November 10th and 11th. The annual fine art and crafts show is to be held at the Boulder City Recreation Department gym from 9am to 4pm. The proceeds will be given in the form of art scholarships to deserving young people taking classes at the Boulder City Art Center. It is a good way to pick up a unique gift for that very special person on your list and help local young artists.

R.B. Bertrams will be showing his magnificent woodcut pieces. These works of art are becoming coveted possessions for people throughout the area. A new favorite, Karen Hoback will be back with her abstract high quality silk painted scarves and other clothing items. Local pottery instructors, Craig Corey and Debbie Hagen, will have their latest work exhibited as well as several local jewelry craftsmen displaying their creations.

Noted fabric artist, Eleanor Beckert, is scheduled to be present and will be displaying new southwest themed fabric hangings. Artist/author, Dotty Fenner, will be on hand to sign her recently published book of poetry and drawings. The students from the ABC Park Art Center will be showing and selling their handmade Christmas cards. Free drawings for art and craft items donated by the artisans will be held each day.

“Browsing through the colorful displays, meeting friends and neighbors, there is no better way to catch the Holiday Spirit,” states show chairperson, Aileen Dike.

On November 15th, the Boulder City Art Guild Gallery will install Jan Schaeffer as the featured artist. Jan is one of the premier abstract artists in the area having work shown all over the Southwest. She works in watercolor and multimedia. A presentation not to be missed.
