It’s that time of year again when our small businesses gear up for another season of wine’ing. Nope, not a typo; wine’ing. Over the past three years, our historic downtown businesses keep their open signs bright for tourists and locals that visit the area to partake in shopping, wine tasting, and mingling. The Best Dam Wine Walk is entering its fourth season, kicking off September 9th at 4pm and runs until 8pm. The check-in will be located in front of Grace Christian Academy, 512 California Street. Wristbands and wine glasses are provided at check-in for $25 per person or $45 for a couple.
The Wine Walk has grown to almost twenty stops. Those businesses located outside of the historic district or home based businesses have found success by having a small space in the Chamber Showcase area, located just in front of the chamber office. Last year, we traded the chalk on the sidewalks for the beautiful Wine Walk markers made by Ruben at Ruben’s Woodcraft and Toys. Every business that participates will have a marker at the entrance of their business, similar to a small high top table and is noted by the words “Wine Walk” down the sides. Big thank you to Ruben for making these for us!
Our small businesses are incredibly grateful for the business the Wine Walks have brought in. Many of the owners have seen increases in their business, specifically during the Wine Walk nights, but they also have mentioned they are creating lifelong customers from previous walks. It is an amazing sight to see all of the hustle and bustle happening during the Second Saturday Wine Walks! Oh, and if you’re not into wine’ing, don’t worry! Many of our businesses have water, non-alcoholic drinks and snacks! Best of all, there is no charge for our designated drivers, er’ walkers! We hope you’re around for the September 9th walk and come dressed as your favorite movie character! For more information, visit bouldercitychamberofcommerce.com for more details! Hope to see you there!
