Now That's Cool!
If June was any indication of what we can expect in the way of heat for July, we’ve got one hot month ahead of us. So the question is. . . how does one get a little recreating in amongst all this heat? An obvious choice is to look at the Boulder City Swimming Pool Complex. Adult lap swim hours are Mon. - Fri. 6:30 – 9 a.m. and Saturday 7 - 9 a.m.

The water at the City Pool is clean and refreshing and will, no doubt, jump start your day. The pool also offers a variety of swim lessons, a masters swim program, open swim hours and dive classes. This facility also hosts three racquet and wallyball courts in an air conditioned environment. Courts are available Monday –Friday 6:30 a.m. – 9 p.m., Saturday 1 – 8 p.m. and Sunday 1 – 5 p.m. Pool patrons may take advantage of a dryland cross training program with instructor training and specialized equipment. When recreating at the City Pool Complex, you are either in water or an air conditioned environment.

The very fun Splash Park at Veterans’ Memorial Park should be on everyone’s list. If you’re daring enough to jump in with all the kids, give me a call, I’ll be there with my camera. If you’re not able to participate first hand, you will no doubt enjoy the antics of the hordes of children who will be enjoying the facility. The squeals and giggles are absolutely delightful.
