Plumbing:
·Inspect the water heater’s temperature pressure relief valve for signs of leaks or discharge
·Inspect the water heater’s plumbing connections for signs of corrosion
·Flush or drain the water heater
·Clean and seal the grout and touch-up the caulking around tubs, showers and countertops
·Exercise (turn off and on) plumbing shut-off valves and inspect for leaks
·Inspect the drain lines while running water to insure there are no leaks
·Use a flashlight to inspect around your dishwasher after running it through a complete cycle to check for water leaks
Heating and Cooling:
·Clean any debris around the air conditioner compressor
·Have the conditioning system cleaned and tuned-up
·Clean your ceiling fan blades
·Insure that all east, west, and south facing windows are shaded to save on cooling costs
·Have your chimneys cleaned and inspected
Electrical:
·Replace the batteries and test all of the smoke detectors
·Vacuum the smoke detectors so they stay clean and operate at peak efficiency
·Replace the smoke detectors if they are 10 years or more old
·Test all of the GFCI outlets to insure they are operating correctly and replace as needed
