The Recreation Department offers a variety of means for children to “entertain” themselves. Back by popular demand, open gym is now offered with consistent hours on Monday through Thursday, 3 to 8pm, Friday 3 to 6pm and Saturday 1 to 4pm. Open gym activities include billiards, uninstructed basketball and volleyball, and, in general, open space to play. A limited amount of sports equipment is available so you may want to bring your own to be on the safe side. Also note that there are several parks in town with outdoor basketball courts.

The Youth Center, offered to children in grades 6th through 12th, is open 2 to 6pm Monday through Thursday and Friday 2 to 7pm. At this facility, there are billiards, air hockey and foosball tables, video games, a movie room and so much more. With an annual fee of only $20, there’s no reason not to take advantage of this amazing facility with incredible staff.
