Spring Break is rapidly approaching and can bring out of town visitors and the challenge of entertaining them! It’s handy to have a list of fun but free things to do in Las Vegas.

The spectacular Bellagio has more than 1,000 dancing fountains accompanied by lights and music showing off daily from 3 p.m. to midnight. Once inside, the Conservatory and Botanical Gardens provide fabulous photo opportunities; displays change seasonally. Look upward in the lobby for beautiful glass sculptures by renowned artist Dale Chihuly.

The Flamingo Hotel features a 15 acre tropical Wildlife Habitat with colorful fish, flamboyant fowl and exotic surprises; open 24 hours a day! CBS is seeking your input! There is a CBS Television City Research Center at the MGM Grand where visitors voice their opinion on programs under consideration by the network. Showings begin about 10 a.m. and run into the evening; 891-5752.

Circus Circus has circulating circus acts from 11 a.m. daily. Caesar’s Forum Shops Greek God’s become life-like ala Disneyland beginning at 10 a.m. daily. After 6 p.m. daily on calm days, the Mirage Volcano corks off shooting flames and smoke 100 feet into the air! Also in the evening is Treasure Island’s Sirens of TI complete with pirates, performing four times daily beginning at 5:30 p.m.

While window shopping at the Venetian’s Grand Canal shops, enjoy costumed street performers belting out Italian Opera and other entertainers putting a zing in the experience! Daily performance times vary.
