The Boulder City Pool and Racquetball Complex should be on everyone’s list of things to do this summer. In addition to open swim, family hour, lap swim, swimming, diving and exercise lessons, the Pool will be offering a variety of special events including Red, White & Pool Day on July 4th with a coin toss where kids can keep the money and redeem coins for prizes. Aquatic Coordinator Angela Curtola and I had a great time picking out water blasters, balls, Frisbees and a variety of other prizes that we can’t wait to give away. On July 13th, Winter in the Summer will take place with a melted snowball fight, snowman eating contest, and some hot chocolate, hold the hot! July 18th is Pirate Day. That’s right, grab your eye patch. Doesn’t everyone have an eye patch in their junk drawer? Well, if not, you can always make one and join the crew for a fun filled day seeking surprise booty. On July 27th bring your inflatable toys for a Jungle Cruise Day. You may want to practice your paddling and waddling for a variety of games. Just don’t feed the animals, they’re wild. In August, look for Love Your Lifeguard Day August 3rd, Cardboard Boat Races August 8th, and Family Appreciation Day August 17th.
