A Kid's View

My Move To South Dakota

I hope you all had a great winter break. Well I surely did! Believe it or not, one of the reasons I had a great winter break was because I moved to South Dakota! Don’t worry, I still will be writing for you because I so enjoy it.

When I figured out I was going to be moving, I was having fun hanging out with my old friends, Kelsey, Tabby, and Amanda. I really do miss them already!

Well, the day I moved I got up in the morning at 4:00 a.m. I was really tired so I slept on the airplane. When my mom and I arrived at the airport in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, we met my dad since he was already there waiting for us. When we got to our new home in Yankton, I was really excited! I looked in my brand new bedroom and my old bed was there! I am going to get a new bed so it will fit better in my new bedroom.

Anyway, the next day was the start of my new school! I couldn’t wait to go! So I went to bed early my first night and got up extra early. My great parents drove me to my new school because it is 8 blocks away from our new house. When I got there, I got all my school supplies and walked upstairs into school and right when I got up there a girl came up to me and asked me if my name was “Liz.” It is, because that is my nickname in Yankton from my summer visits. So she yelled out “Brian I found her!” I met Brian on my past summer visits because my cousin has connections.

My dad's family lives here in Yankton, South Dakota and we have been visiting with them for many summers. I did make a lot of friends during my summer visits so I knew I was going to get along just fine.
