The Dam Short Film Festival will be held February 4-6, 2005, and will feature approximately 100 short films from all corners of the globe. Program blocks will include Live-Action, Documentary, Animation, Student, and Youth/Family, so that all ages and interests will find the Festival a unique and entertaining experience.Screenings will be held in the historic auditorium of the City Water & Power Building. The Festival will feature an Awards Night party, as well as a Filmmaker’s Reception and Special Guest Seminars hosted by experts from the movie industry.
Boulder City residents Lee and Anita Lanier are co-founders of the festival. Lee is a computer animator and instructor at the Art Institute of Las Vegas whose own short films have played over one hundred film festivals worldwide. Anita is a nationally certified massage therapist who works through her company, Anita Shiatsu.
